President Kiss signed the Presidents Climate Commitment (PCC). The Living Honorably section of the strategic plan incorporates numerous sustainability initiatives, including a stated goal to "become an environmentally sustainable community." The 19-member Sustainability Steering Committee is responsible for helping the college meet its obligations to the PCC and includes students, staff, faculty, alumnae, and trustees. The college employs a director of sustainability, a sustainability fellow, and two work-study students.
